Editing pupil data


To edit pupil data a password is needed. This offers some protection from casual changes being made. The password is Essex.

In Flippi X versions dated before Jan 23rd 2008 there is a bug in the code that should update the user details. Any attempt to change a pupils  details results in an error stating that the UPN code already exists.

The only way to remedy this is to download a newer version of the file flippix.exe.   To do this follow the following steps.

Users of Standalone computers or Schoolshare networks

  • Ensure FlippiX is not running.

  • Down load the flippix.exe file and save it to your  c:/program files/flippix folder replacing the previous copy of the file. A zipped version is also available if your computer will not download exe files.

  • Restart FlippiX and check the version is dated 23rd Jan or later.

Users of Client Server networks such as CC3 or Free2Teach will need to check with their support provider as to the best way to make the update.
